Rebellious Maid and Gentle Young Master [First-person narrative, short story, complete manuscript ready to post]
Yueling had many names. If the young lady ate date-flower cakes that day, she was Zao Hua. If she ate hibiscus cakes the next day, she was Fu Rong.
No one cared what her real name was, except the Third Young Master.
"Yueling, don't go on. Leave me behind."
Little Yueling ignored him and carried the young master on her back, walking and walking, until the moon rose and set, then set and rose again.

Later, someone asked me why my husband looked so much like the dazzling Third Young Master of the Shen family back then.
And why I was exactly like the little maid who had served him.
I smiled and replied, "How could a maid and a young master ever be together? My husband isn't a young master, and I'm not a maid."
That's right. I'm Yueling, not a maid.
Note:
1. First-person narrative, happy ending, both leads have only ever been with each other.
2. The male lead will recover later. The plot gets pretty angsty, but both leads are good people.
3. Some events are told out of order, and the story unfolds from the female lead's perspective.
