[Boss Dazai x the top executive who turned into a cat]
After working at his desk for a long time, the boss put down his pen. He glanced impassively at the empty space behind him on the right, then pulled out his phone and typed.
[Where did you go? So many people want to kill the Port Mafia Boss. If I suddenly die right now, it'll all be Chuuya's fault. Poor Chuuya, he'll become a criminal in the Port Mafia~]
Elsewhere, Chuuya struggled to tap out a message on his phone with his cat's paw.
Dazai frowned at the phone, which kept displaying [Typing...], then got up and walked to Chuuya's office.
He pushed open the door and saw an orange, blue-eyed munchkin cat sitting on a chair, randomly tapping at a phone.
Dazai's eyes widened slightly. After a moment's silence, he tentatively asked, “Chuuya?”
Chuuya breathed a sigh of relief, pulled back his paw, and nodded like a cat.
Dazai did jump off the building in the end.
He closed his eyes peacefully and leaped from the Port Mafia rooftop.
Chuuya looked down at his corpse. Blood spread all around him like a tide, forming an eerie yet gorgeous picture.
Dazai lay motionless with his eyes closed.
“You bastard Dazai, are you deaf? Quit pretending to be dead.” Chuuya grabbed his tie and shouted in his ear.
Dazai frowned tightly in displeasure and couldn't help clutching his aching stomach, as if someone had interrupted a beautiful dream.
Feeling the broken glass scattered beneath him, he slowly opened his eyes.
Just two minutes earlier.
Dazai had just been kicked hard through a window on one of the Port Mafia's middle floors by a violent little shorty who had suddenly appeared. The glass shattered across the floor.
“Are you trying to murder your boss?” He glared resentfully at Chuuya, who was sitting on top of him.
Dazai's mouth curled into a sinister smile.
“Watch out, or I'll print the news that Chuuya is actually an orange munchkin cat on flyers and hand them out to the entire Port Mafia.”
Chuuya clenched his fists, a huge # appearing on his forehead. He shook his head, tossing aside the fleeting image that had flashed through his mind, like a vision of someone falling to their death.
Then he quickly slammed a fist into the empty space beside Dazai's ear. The ground instantly cracked with spiderweb-like patterns.
Dazai muttered, “You're so mean, Chuuya.”
Chuuya shouted angrily, “Shut up, you bastard of a boss!”
[Bonus scene]
At that moment, Dazai inexplicably felt something called “happiness.”
He turned to look at Chuuya, a light, insubstantial smile still on his face, and spoke in an extremely flippant tone: “Chuuya, how about we go die together?”
Chuuya, who'd already been scowling, gritted his teeth. He could no longer maintain the respect a subordinate should show his boss, and yelled without even lifting his head.
“What the hell is wrong with you?!”
Dazai looked away and clicked his tongue in annoyance.
He sneered, “Forget it. A gloomy little black-haired shorty like you, with no sense of romance, isn't worthy of dying for love with your noble boss.”
