[Invisible band member seme x fan who mistakes him for someone else uke]
*
[Seme's perspective]
Lu Qingyin is an unremarkable guitarist in an underground band. Unlike the bold, confident bassist, he's always mild-mannered and forgettable. He barely has any fans at all.
But lately, he seems to have acquired a passionate fan.
That person is very enthusiastic. Though he acts a little distant when he sees Lu Qingyin, he soon returns to normal, eyes shining as he says Lu Qingyin is the brightest star of them all.
Lu Qingyin cherishes him, so he can't stand the bold bassist who insults his "fan."
But when his "fan" shows up, the first thing he says is, "Apologize to him."
When Lu Qingyin asks why, he gets no answer.
Later, Lu Qingyin learns the truth.
He was an accidental impostor.
Lu Qingyin isn't all that sad. After all, he still has music, doesn't he?
That belief is what helps him succeed and achieve his musical dream.
But why, when they meet again years later, is that person crying and begging him not to leave?
[Uke's perspective]
Pei Wanqiu only realized later that he'd added the wrong person.
The impostor has a very good temper and cherishes him deeply.
He also does whatever Pei Wanqiu asks.
Pei Wanqiu never intended to toy with him.
But when he sees the man onstage wearing his favorite shirt, Pei Wanqiu, usually so decisive, swallows hard and finds that he simply can't tell the truth.
But he really does like that bold bassist, so he tells the man to apologize.
The room is quiet. Pei Wanqiu notices how thin the man's eyelids are, and how his thick, almost-heavy lashes tremble.
Suddenly, he doesn't want to pursue the matter anymore.
But the man speaks, his voice calm despite his fragile appearance. "I'm sorry."
He apologizes.
Then he leaves.
At first, Pei Wanqiu doesn't think much of it.
After all, the person he likes is someone else, isn't it?
But when he sees the bassist, disheveled and frantically asking about the whereabouts of the missing man, he feels none of the jealousy or pain a lover ought to feel.
Even his heart beats slowly, as if weighed down.
At the time, he thinks he's just bored.
Only later does he realize:
He misses that guitarist.
Along with that damn bassist.

Much later, Pei Wanqiu sees Lu Qingyin again. This time, he's surrounded by people, shining brightly.
"Those people don't really care about you. I was your first fan, remember?" Pei Wanqiu grabs him.
He had always been proud, really.
Proud that he'd discovered Lu Qingyin in a grubby little corner.
But Lu Qingyin only curves his lips into a smile. "No, you weren't my first."
"What do you mean?"
"I have fans. Not many, but they really do like me."
Pei Wanqiu's smile stiffens. "Then you..."
Lu Qingyin tucks a few tousled strands of black hair behind his ear. His delicate face glows, and every movement radiates the brilliance of a star in the spotlight.
"You were the most enthusiastic, and the most annoying, of them all."
"I was afraid of getting bad press, so I had to respond."
