I'm Really Not the Protagonist

“The Cage” is an infinite-loop nightmare that devours lives. Every player is a “bird in a cage,” trapped in a place where struggle, betrayal, and death are eternal themes.

There is only one ultimate goal: escape the “Cage.” Rumor has it that even if you get out, you might be caught again, as if fate were playing a cruel joke.

Jian Tongyue, an ordinary college student whose only special skill is having read over a hundred infinite-loop novels, has become one of the newest “birds in a cage.”

Her life plan is clear and simple: keep a low profile, stay alive, and latch onto a powerful player's coattails!

However, fate played a huge joke on her. In the beginner instance, one accidental touch made a vivid image of her own gruesome death suddenly appear in her mind: [Death Premonition]!

This terrifying ability forcibly loaded itself into her.

Relying on her familiarity with infinite-loop tropes and this momentary “spoiler,” she accidentally solved an otherwise fatal predicament. Her moves flowed seamlessly, earning her a legendary SSS rating!

The livestream instantly exploded, and the entire “Cage” was in an uproar.

“Rookie champion!” “What an incredible play!” “Is she cheating?!” The generous rewards, rapidly climbing ranking, powerful players' curious gazes, and teammates' fervent expectations instantly overwhelmed her.

Jian Tongyue looked at this dreamlike start, but inside she was screaming: “You don't understand! I'm really not the protagonist! I'm just an unlucky person who was forced to see ten thousand ways she could die ahead of time!”
