In the first snowfall, Bai An once declared loudly, "Bai Zhongyue, I'm going to pursue you!"

Bai Zhongyue once confessed his love to Bai An onstage, causing a sensation across the school.

Later, two identical jade pendants were placed together. The appraisal beside them read, "Confirmed to be related by blood."

Bai An clutched Bai Zhongyue's wrist and pleaded, "I don't want to find my biological parents anymore. Can we just pretend we don't know? Please don't break up with me."

But Bai Zhongyue said no.

And so their passionate, carefree love affair became a secret they could never reveal.

Bai Zhongyue went from being his boyfriend to being his older brother.

Several years passed. On New Year's Eve, well past midnight, a drunken Bai Zhongyue gripped his wrist. "Bai An..."

"Brother," Bai An interrupted quietly, "you forgot. My name is Bai Zi'an."

"Bai Zhongyue, we'll never be brothers in this life."

"No normal brothers in the world would want to sleep with each other."

Note: 1. The seme, Bai Zhongyue, and the uke, Bai An, have no actual blood relation, and they have never been registered in the same household.

2. Contains melodramatic plot twists. The story spans university and post-graduation work. They are each other's one and only, with a happy ending.

Jian Xingzhou has spent nearly ten years in the entertainment industry, finally clawing his way up from the eighteenth tier to the eighth.

Fu Yunqu has been at the helm of the Fu Group for nearly ten years, firmly established at the very top of the pyramid.

Over those ten years, Jian Xingzhou has seen Fu Yunqu in person only a handful of times, and they have spoken face-to-face just twice.

Once, Fu Yunqu asked his name. The other time, Fu Yunqu asked him for his autograph.

The third time, Jian Xingzhou was kneeling before Fu Yunqu in nothing but a bath towel. Fu Yunqu gripped his chin and asked whether he was worth it.

Jian Xingzhou's heart raced, but he answered without hesitation. "I am."

"Is that so?" Fu Yunqu sneered, leaning back with his legs apart. "Then you have to make me feel you're worth it, too."

The cold sneers and rough, contemptuous treatment are all things Jian Xingzhou accepts willingly. He never complains.

He knows their relationship has no name and no commitment, and that it is bound to end sooner or later. So when he learns Fu Yunqu is about to get engaged, he leaves of his own accord, salvaging what little dignity he can.

But he is dragged back in the least dignified way, bound to the familiar bed in the villa. Fu Yunqu's hand around his throat is tight enough to kill him.

"Jian Xingzhou, how dare you?"

Later, people say Fu Yunqu has someone, but no one can get any details. Fu Yunqu protects his partner with more ferocity than a wolf guarding its cubs.

All they hear is that anyone who tries to send someone to Fu Yunqu gets taught a lesson.

They also hear that President Fu, who has not attended an awards ceremony in years, watched the entire event from the central VIP seat. When he clapped, a ring on his left ring finger caught the light.

It seems rather similar to the ornament around the young Best Actor's neck onstage.
