Daddy Isn't Some Poor Kid [ABO]

When the bottom was sixteen, he was given a rather mean-spirited nickname: "Cinderella."

The lofty nobles called Omegas like him that, poor-born people who could change their lives through marriage.

And the bottom's "Prince Charming" was the most untouchable person among them all.

This Alpha had other plans for their relationship. He said he could be the bottom's elder, friend, and guide, but never his husband.

But that was a trivial matter.

Because this Alpha would still take him in and raise him, and hand him the "glass slipper" that would change his fate.

After all, he couldn't abandon his fated mate.

*

The top met his fated mate when he was twenty-nine.

The other boy was delicate and beautiful. His drab clothes only made this hidden gem shine brighter.

In the top's eyes, the Omega was still a child, with a child's stubbornness and innocence, and little childish schemes of his own.

The top didn't want to bond with his fated mate. To him, bonding out of instinct was no different from behaving like an animal.

He only wanted to teach and raise the boy, watching him pretend to be pitiful as he asked, all false innocence, on his first day in the wealthy household, "Is this your home?"

He didn't dislike the Omega's little schemes. On the contrary, to someone in a position of power, they were even a bit of fun.

But he had seriously underestimated his fated mate.

"Can't he come in?" Years later, the Omega he'd carefully raised asked him. "He's my boyfriend, and this is my home. Why can't he come in?"

His eyes were as beautiful, delicate, and falsely pitiful as they had been when they first met.

1. The top is a virgin. Older top raising a younger partner! A patriarchal, traditional Alpha top x a beautiful, sweet-on-the-outside, scheming-on-the-inside catlike Omega bottom

2. A cheesy, clichéd rich-family melodrama, with a bit of chasing-the-wife-to-the-crematorium (?).

3. The romance turns sour after the bottom turns eighteen.

4. The bottom really has dated several boyfriends, including but not limited to a poor young man who started from nothing and a rich heir.

Theme: Parents and children should have a harmonious relationship.
