Beneath a sky full of pink cherry blossoms, Jian Manshu picks a strand of Xu Jiayun's hair and plucks a small petal from it.
She says it's the perfect time for a kiss.
With their breaths mingling at close range, Xu Jiayun swallows without thinking. Jian Manshu is sharp enough to notice at once, and asks why she's nervous.
Xu Jiayun answers honestly: I thought you were going to kiss me.
Jian Manshu wraps her arms around her, as if she's heard the funniest thing in the world, and laughs against her shoulder. That must be your imagination. I've just watched too many idol dramas!
Xu Jiayun doesn't find it funny.
