Li Chu hid him in his bedchamber to recover. Aside from a certain schemer occasionally popping up to make his life difficult, he had nothing to worry about.

He thought life would continue peacefully like this, but one night he woke up in another time and place.

Besides, Li Tan was quite pleased with Sima Yi's life story.

The wicked golden-shaded cat had originally planned to put on a show for his caretaker Li Chu once his injuries healed, but there was no need now.

He decided to go all out.

Li Chu wasn't here, so it didn't matter who the emperor was.

Unfortunately, he got nowhere.

Tan Kitty was anxious. He stirred up trouble while worrying, and worried as he plotted a rebellion.

As he anxiously poisoned the grapes of Emperor Wen of Wei, Cao Pi, a small slipup got him caught on the spot.

Li Tan: Meow meow meow, how did it come to this?

Kneeling before Cao Pi, he frantically racked his brain for a way out. He didn't notice the amused smile on the young man's lips.

"It seems Zhongda has no desire to be a carp in my pond. In that case, why don't I give you a reward?" He paused, then smiled. "How about I make you Prince of Jianning?"

"Sima Yi thanks Your Excellency... Huh?"

Only then did Li Tan notice that, for some reason, Cao Pi's features resembled those of the person he missed so dearly.

He'd kept his head bowed and acted obedient all this time, and hadn't noticed at all.

"So," he took a deep breath, "Li Chu, did you transmigrate here too?"

Cao Chu: Mm-hmm.

Li Tan was devastated, despair written all over his face. "What about the Tang Dynasty?"

And what about my rebellion?!
