Blurb 1
Lex Luthor realizes there's something strange about his nemesis.
It starts when a bouquet of roses suddenly appears on his office desk. The roses are in full bloom, and after checking the security footage, he discovers they came from Superman.
Lex: "..." What the hell is wrong with this alien?
Then, during fights, Superman occasionally gazes at him sadly and asks Lex why he hates him so much.
Lex: "???" Do you need a reason to hate an alien?
Finally, one day, he suddenly wakes from a dream and goes out onto the balcony for some air, only to find the damn Kryptonian floating outside his apartment window, staring at him. Who knows how long he's been there.
A photo of them looking at each other spreads across all of Metropolis that very night! The city's SuperLex fans are ecstatic.
Lex: "!!!" Could you have a little nemesis dignity? Lex climbs Mount Kongtong in the middle of the night.
What? You're saying they're in an ABO world, so he and Superman aren't an incompatible match? In that case, never mind.
No, Lex says with a twisted expression. Doesn't that make the problem even bigger?!
Damn Superman!
In this cold world, only the young reporter can bring him a little warmth. Lex looks at the kind young reporter holding him.
Still, Lex is a little puzzled. Why does the young reporter keep looking at him strangely lately, as if he wants to say something but can't?
Could it be because of those fake rumors circulating in Metropolis about him and Superman?
He knew it, Lex grits his teeth. Damn Superman!
(Clark: Accidentally reveals the Superman cape.
Lex: Superman! (Puts on his armor and takes off) How dare you cheat on me!!!
Anyway, it's all Superman's fault!
Blurb 2
One day, a group of Supermen gather to discuss what's troubling them.
One Superman: I'm worried about my Lex.
The Supermen: Oh, we're worried about Luthors too.
That Superman gives an awkward smile: I'm afraid we're not worried about the same thing.
The Supermen: Hm?
That Superman: Well, when I was a kid, I met a visitor from a parallel universe named Conner. You know, in almost every world, Conner is the child of Superman and Lex. In my world, Lex happens to be an Omega and I'm an Alpha, so it seemed perfectly reasonable to think Conner was a child born from our love in the future, right? And then...
The Supermen are stunned: ...And then?
That Superman: Then when I grew up, I started pursuing Lex the moment I saw him!
The Supermen can't believe it, but hope: So Luthor must have called you a lunatic, right? / Maybe he even beat you up with his armor!
That Superman: ...Well, yes, actually.
The Supermen sigh in relief: Thank goodness. Luthor's still normal.
That Superman takes a big breath: But I succeeded, too. People in Metropolis even call Clark the Luthor boy! (Puffs out his chest proudly)
The Supermen lean back in unison: Oof... (Is that really something to be proud of?)
The Supermen: Ah, well, that's... impressive? We can only respect and wish you well. But... what are you worried about, then?
That Superman, dejected: The problem is I only succeeded halfway!
The Supermen are amazed: You can only succeed halfway? How does that even happen?!
That Superman, frustrated: Clark succeeded, but Superman didn't. Lex still hates Superman. What am I supposed to do? I don't dare tell Lex that Clark is Superman.
He raises his hand and looks sadly at a sweet picture of the young reporter and Metropolis's young billionaire together.
The Supermen lean in: Wait, why does this Superman's Luthor not only look young and beautiful, but still have hair? Thinking about our own headache-inducing Luthors makes us jealous!
The Supermen are green with envy: How about you sit separately with that Smallville Superman over there, the one who fell in love with his Luthor with a kiss and now lives happily ever after? Next!
That Superman: No, I'm seriously worried. Will Lex abort Conner when he finds out? Hey, help me out here!
The Supermen: You already have Conner too? No, we can't listen to this anymore. Next!
As for how they eventually got their happy ending? Oh, everyone in Metropolis knows all their secrets.
Reader's Guide:
1. Although this is an ABO setting, Omegas are not disadvantaged. Traditional families come in two forms, led by either the Alpha or the Omega, and society is egalitarian.
2. Although Conner isn't a product of technology, Lex won't carry him himself (meaning a full pregnancy) or give birth. Once he's discovered, he'll basically be transferred to an artificial womb for development. (Before finding out Clark is Superman, Lex thinks pregnancy sounds like a hassle and doesn't want to carry him himself. After finding out Clark is Superman, he doesn't dare carry him himself.)
3. There are so few Clex stories, so I had no choice but to write one myself, but I'm not good at tragic love stories. This is a light, sweet little story, told mainly from Lex's perspective.
4. OOC warning.
Theme: Ordinary people don't treat their nemeses as wives, but then again, ordinary nemeses don't have a child with a hero. Uh, guess that means the kid needs a complete family (smiles).
