A Max-Level Appraiser Gets Hounded by a Green Tea Psycho

Qi Tan transmigrates into a book and becomes the most notorious antiques counterfeiter on the antique street.

To save his life, he promptly quits the business. Using his golden finger, the ability to sense an object's history by touching it, he makes a fortune finding treasures at the secondhand market. Along the way, he takes in a miserable, mute homeless man he finds on a rainy night as his apprentice.

His apprentice, He Ran, is a superb long-term employee.

He cooks wonderfully and cuts fruit more delicately than a carving artist. When local thugs demand protection money, he only hides behind Qi Tan, trembling with red-rimmed eyes.

Qi Tan ruffles his fluffy hair and thinks that although the man is a bit of a pushover, he's easy to look after.

Until the day Qi Tan offends the most ruthless underground force in Beijing's elite circles.

A dozen bodyguards corner him in a dead-end alley. As he tries to figure out how to escape, he sees his own helpless, frail mute apprentice calmly take off his apron, grab the boss across from them by the throat with one hand, and slam him hard against the brick wall.

The crack of breaking bones rings out, sharp and clear.

The next moment, He Ran turns around and walks over through a sea of groans. He buries his face in the crook of Qi Tan's neck, his voice aggrieved yet obsessive.

"Tan-ge, the blood on his hands got my clothes dirty. You have to hug me so I'll feel better."

Qi Tan looks at the big shot across from him, foaming at the mouth, and feels his eyelid twitch.

You call that helpless and frail?
