Orphan's Grudge: I Went on a Rampage of Killing at the Orphanage

When I woke up, the orphanage held only twelve monsters and a copy of The Absolute Rules for Employees.

The director had fled in the middle of the night, leaving behind just one warning: "Never trust the children. Never look back."

At ten o'clock at night, the doorknob began to turn slowly. A child's voice outside called me Mommy.

My coworkers cowered under their blankets, trembling. I smashed the table, grabbed a piece of broken wood studded with nails, and held it up.

Xiaoya let out a creepy laugh from the other side of the door. "Mommy, are you hiding?"

I sneered and yanked the door open. "Who are you calling Mommy? I'm your ancestor!"

The child, who had seemed so sinister and terrifying, staggered back at my bizarre behavior. I slammed the door shut and locked it.

Other people survive by hiding. I survive by going insane.

Later, I found my classified file on the dark web:

"The first perfect experimental subject. Codename: First-Generation Ghost. Threat Level: SSS. She personally trained the killing instincts of every child."

Watching the "adult test subjects" outside the window plotting to kill me, I licked the blood from the corner of my mouth.

What a coincidence. I came back this time with no intention of leaving anyone alive.
