I'm the World's Most Wanted Criminal at the End of the World

(Apocalypse + Bounty Hunt + Identity Mystery + Self-Evolution + Two Factions at War.) After the meteor shower fell, I became the most sought-after “cargo” in the world. The human faction has placed a worldwide bounty on my head: “Kill Taotie, gain permanent immunity, and be honored as a Guardian of Civilization.” The insect swarm has put me on its entire hive’s wanted list: “Capture Taotie, evolve the Mother Nest, and be elevated to Lord of the Swarm.” All because I am the original Calamity, buried twenty years ago. I need no food, my wounds heal on their own, and I evolve every day. Now two armies are blasting each other amid the ruins: One side wants to blow me to pieces, while the other wants to drag me back to its nest. And I hide in the shadows, watching the darkness writhe beneath my skin. Suddenly, I think... Maybe I should establish a third faction.
