A Lucky Star Like Me Shares a Rental with an Unlucky Young Master

Xu Duoqing was born unlucky.

She was born at 4:44 a.m. on April 4. She had a fever during the college entrance exams, the power went out during a job interview, and nine out of the ten outdoor weddings she planned got rained on. Everyone at the company called her the Rain Goddess.

Zhu Yifan was born blessed by fortune.

He was born at 8:08 a.m. on August 8. The only son of the Zhu Group, he always won prize draws, every stock he bought went up, and his life ran smoothly, like an exam paper with all the answers filled in ahead of time.

On a sleepless night during the Perseid meteor shower, the two of them made wishes on the same shooting star.

She said, "Please let me experience life with a lucky charm on my side, just once!"

He said, "Let me experience the hardships of the human world. I want to know the meaning of life!"

The next day...

She was reduced to tears by her boss, wandered into a funeral hall and cried, and received half a million yuan. "Forget about Mr. Wang."

"...Who exactly is Mr. Wang?"

His parents kicked him out, and he set off with 100,000 yuan to buy a villa, only to get swindled out of 20,000 first. On the bus, he put in a 100-yuan bill and even told the driver, "Keep the change."

The desperate young master came across a roommate wanted ad: I'm a little unlucky. Don't contact me if that bothers you.

His eyes lit up. That's the one!

Later, she became the city's most popular lucky-charm planner. The people who used to call her a jinx lined up to touch her hands.

He became the most unlucky ceremonial host on the entire internet, responsible for taking misfortune onto himself. His younger sister secretly tried to help him eleven times, and every time she made things worse.

Later still, the Old Madam of the Zhu family came to see her and opened with, "A hundred million yuan, and you marry my grandson."

"...Grandma, did you get the script mixed up?"

"No! You took our family's good fortune away, so you have to bring the person who took it back with you too!"
