On the Day We Divorced, My Kitchen Opened a Door to Ancient Times

[Dual Female Leads, Connecting Past and Present, Food Entrepreneurship, Rise from Adversity]

On her thirty-fifth birthday, Lin Qiuhe was kicked out by her husband.

The restaurant company they had built together over ten years went to her ex-husband. The dishes she had developed by hand were credited to someone else. All she took with her were her ancestral home, an old cleaver, and the incomplete recipe book her mother had left behind.

That night, an old wooden cupboard in the ancestral home’s kitchen suddenly opened. On the other side of its door was the Great Sheng Dynasty, a thousand years in the past.

Shen Yuniang, a thirty-six-year-old widow, had lost her husband three months earlier. Her clan was forcing her to hand over her land and planned to sell her fourteen-year-old eldest daughter as a concubine to an old landowner. The three women had gone without food for days, and the youngest daughter had already fainted from hunger.

A bowl of egg noodles from the modern world bought a lost ancient technique for preserving fragrance.

From then on, the two women, each driven to the edge, had fifteen minutes together every night. Lin Qiuhe brought food and tools, helping Shen Yuniang protect her daughters and establish her own household. Shen Yuniang shared ancient recipes and fragrance formulas, helping Lin Qiuhe start a food stall and build a business.

Her ex-husband accused her of stealing recipes?

A public blind taste test would settle the score in one bite!

The clan leader forced Shen Yuniang to sell her daughter and surrender her land?

She would earn her living with her own hands and become the head of her own household, with dignity!

Then Lin Qiuhe opened the letter her mother had left behind

“Qiuhe, if you ever meet Shen Yuniang, you must save her.”

Because according to the family records, Shen Yuniang was supposed to have died in the kitchen during a great fire a thousand years ago…
