The film tells the story of Brother Ren, whose former sworn brother Liu Jian has returned to the underworld, now a changed man and his "closest enemy." Liu repeatedly stirs up disputes and conflicts, undermining Brother Ren's patience and his efforts to preserve the peace. As Liu Jian's business empire steadily expands and the brothers around him make sacrifices out of loyalty, Brother Ren can no longer hold back. He unleashes the beast within and officially goes to war with Liu Jian, a man who is both friend and foe, setting off a bloody battle that throws the underworld into chaos.
