Suisui Post Office: A Little One Helps a Million Fallen Heroes Find Their Way Home

When Jiang Suisui was five, she found a silent radio at a secondhand market.

That night, a young voice came through the radio:

"Comrade, when the war is over, I want to go home."

From that day on, Jiang Suisui discovered she could hear the letters that had never been sent.

Some had fallen on snowy mountains, some lay in eternal rest on islands, and some had left behind not even a name.

Jiang Suisui had one small wish.

To find their names again and deliver the words they wanted to say to their families.

She opened a little "Homecoming Post Office."

The post office took no money, only a photograph, a memory, and the words "I'll wait for you to come home."

With an old radio in tow, the little girl traveled through cities, mountain villages, islands, and borderlands.

She helped elderly parents who had lost their only child receive letters that were seventy years late, helped the descendants of martyrs find fathers they had never met, helped a gravekeeper fulfill a lifelong promise, and finally brought the silent heroes who had given their lives to the nation's cause into the world's memory.

Everyone thought Jiang Suisui was just an adorable little girl who cried and pouted for attention.

That was until the whole internet discovered that the first unnamed martyr she found was connected to her own past.

And hidden in the radio was one last name that had never been sent.
