The Moment Xiaotuantuan Speaks, a Million Fallen Heroes Come Home

Five-and-a-half-year-old Lin Tuantuan can hear the words left unsaid in old objects.

A rusty button holds the unsent letter home of a soldier.

A stopped watch remembers a farewell with no name attached.

A yellowed group photo has waited seventy years for its family.

Everyone else thinks she's playing pretend. Only Gu Chenzhou, who grew up in a military family, knows that every name Tuantuan speaks belongs to a heroic story no one has ever heard.

"Uncle Gu, this uncle says he isn't cold anymore. He wants you to tell his mother he's home."

From then on, Tuantuan has a small wish.

She wants to bring home everyone who has been forgotten.

But when a letter from the depths of the archives surfaces, Tuantuan discovers that her own mother, missing for many years, is connected to the buried list of heroes.

This time, the ones she must bring home are not just the names of a million fallen heroes, but her own family, too.
