A Female General Comes to the Shen Family

Eighteen years ago, twins were born to the Shen family of the capital. An oracle declared, “Two stars shine upon the Shen family, and its fortunes will surely flourish.” But because Shen Rong was a girl, the elders sent her to Qingyun Mountain, claiming, “The Phoenix Star clashes with the Purple Star. It could bring the clan to ruin.” Eighteen years later, the Shen family falls into crisis, and her brother Shen Heng is ordered to find her. Shen Rong refuses to return home and leaves a note before heading down the mountain to seek experience. Shen Heng pursues her all the way. From finding each other unbearable to joining forces to solve strange cases across the martial world, their bond gradually deepens. When they return to the capital, the Shen family is little more than an empty shell, and the court is rife with undercurrents. Using her unrivaled medical skills and martial prowess, Shen Rong tears through the hypocrisy of the inner household and allies herself with the neglected Eighth Prince, Xuanyuan Jing. One is a healer, the other a warrior. Together, they win the people’s hearts and military honors, finally carving a path through the battle for the throne. When Xuanyuan Jing ascends the throne, Shen Rong is named a female general who guards the nation, and she also uncovers the truth about her family ties.
