Bestowing on Li Shimin the Title of Supreme Dao Sage Emperor of Heaven

After transmigrating into Li Chengqian, he found himself in a dead-end from the start.

The Wei Prince was favored, the Wude Hall was about to open, and Hegan Chengji was ready to inform on him at any moment.

The entire court was waiting to see how the crown prince would die.

Li Chengqian stopped pretending.

He killed Hegan Chengji, paid a visit to Wei Zheng, and knelt before Xuanwu Gate to beg for his own removal as crown prince.

Everyone thought he'd gone mad.

That is, until he petitioned the court to build residences for the ten princes, with no prince over the age of sixteen allowed to leave without an imperial decree.

Li Shimin stared at him. "What is it you really want?"

Li Chengqian presented the Emperor's Sword. "I want command over all the armies of the realm. I want to confer upon Your Majesty the honored title of Supreme Emperor, the Celestial Emperor."

Li Shimin did not take it.

Li Chengqian looked at him. "Father, you've walked that road once already. Are you afraid to walk it a second time?"

From then on, all that remained between father and son was a fight to the death.
