From Rebel Soldier to Great Tang Emperor During the An Lushan Rebellion

In the fifteenth year of the Tianbao era, the Tang army suffers a crushing defeat at the Battle of Lingbao.

Li Wangsheng transmigrates as the leader of a defeated Anxi army unit, with just nineteen survivors by his side.

No food, no reinforcements, no identity, and the rebels are right behind them.

But his mind holds the complete story of the An Lushan Rebellion: who will win, who will die, where to find food, and where to find people.

Starting with nineteen defeated soldiers, he gathers refugees, takes over granaries, and seizes territory.

Gao Xianzhi is dead? He avenges Gao Xianzhi.

The Crown Prince wants to become emperor? He brings his troops over to join him.

Later, someone asks him, “How did a defeated soldier like you become emperor?”

Li Wangsheng says, “I just picked it up.”
