The Ice Age: Surviving with a Whole Litter of Cubs

From the start, it's an Ice Age apocalypse. Blizzards seal off the mountains, and I'm saddled with four human cubs on the brink of death.

Other transmigrators are busy looking for tribes to cling to and fighting for power in their households.

But as a newly graduated archaeology PhD, all I want is to keep the kids and myself alive.

While others eat raw meat, I teach the kids to make fire by rubbing sticks together.

While others live in animal dens, I take the kids to chop trees and build a house.

While others are still going hungry, my kids already have all the food they could ever need.

Later, more orphans and beast cubs with nowhere else to turn cling to me, and our little cave grows into a large settlement.

Later still, we build walls, develop every trade, and establish a city-state. An enduring spark of civilization rises from what was once a savage wasteland.

When the ice finally melts and all the clans come to pay their respects, they honor me as the “Founder of Civilization.”

I look at the kids, now grown into adults, and smile. “At the beginning, I really only wanted to survive and, while I was at it, raise these little ones.”
