My Fiancé Used My Marriage Fortune Reading for His Female Assistant. After Seeing the Results, He Regretted It Like Crazy!

At the company's midyear gathering, my best friend invited her grandmother, a renowned fortune-teller, to come out of retirement.

Grandma looked kindly at Rong Shen and me, and agreed to tell our fortunes.

The crowd was buzzing with excitement. Everyone started chanting:

"Tell us when they'll get married! Tell us when they'll get married!"

My heart pounded, and I gazed at the man beside me with a smile.

But Rong Shen turned and led his female assistant over to Grandma.

His voice was gentle and resolute:

"Then please tell us when her mother's health will be fully restored."

The entire room fell silent.

The female assistant's cheeks flushed bright red.

She looked up at him, her eyes full of surprise and gratitude.

My best friend leaned close to my ear, gritting her teeth in frustration:

"What's gotten into Rong Shen?"

"My grandma only tells one fortune every ten years, and she came here today just for you two."

I swallowed the ache in my eyes and smiled as I patted her hand.

I took the ancient copper coin that had hung around my neck for ten years and knelt before Grandma.

"Grandma, you promised me I could trade the coin for a reading."

"I want to know when I'll get married."
