His First Love Came Back, So I Divorced Him

Contemporary urban romance / Marriage first, love later / The wife-chasing road to ruin At twenty-three, Liang Jie married Ouyang Jiarong, a cold-hearted man who chose her simply because she was “obedient enough.” Their marriage was a transaction: he helped the Liang family survive bankruptcy, and she dealt with his elders. Everyone knew that Ouyang Jiarong already had Liang Xuqing, his beloved first love, in his heart. Liang Jie was only a temporary Mrs. Ouyang, destined to make way sooner or later. Throughout their three-year marriage, Ouyang Jiarong treated her with impeccable courtesy, but always kept his distance. He would hold her hand as they walked, warm milk for her, and say her name in bed, yet his tenderness was always undercut by his coldness. Liang Jie knew he didn’t love her, and would never love anyone the way he loved Liang Xuqing. Then she saw a post announcing Liang Xuqing’s divorce. Liang Jie understood that the time had come. She calmly asked for a divorce, but Ouyang Jiarong didn’t come home that night. Across the ocean, Liang Xuqing had been in a car accident, and Ouyang Jiarong flew to her side in the middle of the night, vanishing without a word. Alone in the empty villa, Liang Jie finally saw everything clearly in the moonlight: whenever someone is reunited, someone else must be left behind. She decided to let go. But the story was far more complicated than she thought. She didn’t know why Ouyang Jiarong had chosen her out of all the socialites in the city, nor whose face had appeared in his mind during those few silent seconds when Liang Xuqing asked him, “Do you still love me?” When he married her, he thought of her only as a second-best choice. He never expected that, without even realizing it, he had already given his heart to the most “obedient” woman of all. #MarriageFirstLoveLater #FirstLoveReturns #ClearHeadedHeroine
