Great Qin: The Ancestral Dragon Hears My Thoughts and Begs Me to Govern the State

After transmigrating into the Great Qin dynasty as the Ninth Prince, Ying Che planned to offer up an ice-making technique in exchange for a fief where he could live as an idle prince.

Who could have guessed that Qin Shi Huang, the First Emperor of the Ages, could hear his thoughts!

At court, Ying Che bowed respectfully. “Father, your majesty is awe-inspiring. Great Qin is sure to enjoy peace for generations to come!”

[Give me a break. You still have to build the Great Wall and the Epang Palace. Tyranny is fiercer than a tiger, and Great Qin is about to fall after just two generations!]

Ying Che continued, “Father, Lord Zhao is utterly loyal. He is truly a pillar of the state.”

[He's a treacherous schemer. He'll claim a deer is a horse, then slaughter every member of the Qin imperial clan!]

After hearing those thoughts, the First Emperor could no longer sit still. That very night, under the pretext of making an inspection tour, he dumped the responsibilities of governing the empire onto Ying Che.

Years later, gazing at steam trains racing across the land, hot-air balloons floating overhead, and the Roman Empire defeated and forced to surrender, the First Emperor was stunned.

“I only put you in charge temporarily. How did you end up unifying the entire world?”
