Xunming Muxin Liu Fanfiction: Liu's Soul Returns to Xun

Synopsis of The Willow Soul's Return

Mu Xinliu believed that her whole life had been ruined by Xun Ming.

He was possessive and domineering, imprisoning her endlessly in the name of love and holding her captive for half her life. She hated him deeply, schemed against him again and again, and fought back at every turn, wanting only to escape him and even determined to kill him. Then she died in a calamity caused by a demon beast. Her soul remained in the mortal world, unseen and unheard, silently watching everything that happened after her death.

At last, she saw how the Su Fox Lord, who had once looked down upon the Three Realms and stood unmatched in his pride, had gone completely mad after she was gone.

He abandoned all his honors and shut himself away in a desolate grave, keeping watch alone through daily storms of snow and weeping blood for her night after night. The world cursed her for being heartless and betraying him, but Xun Ming willingly endured the demon beast's fangs tearing into his bones and the shattering of his primordial spirit, never once blaming her. From beyond the illusory veil of life, Mu Xinliu watched helplessly as his enemies broke through his defenses and tormented him until every inch of his soul ached.

Only then did she finally understand: the man she had hated and guarded against all her life, the man she had wanted to kill, was the one who loved her most deeply and whom she had betrayed most cruelly.

Love and hate turned upside down, regret crashing over her like a flood.

In the final battle, Xun Ming's spiritual power surged and tore through the barriers of time and space. The bond between their souls, entangled across two lifetimes, drew her in. Thus Mu Xinliu, adrift and alone, unexpectedly plunged into the currents of time and was reborn through the cleansing of her soul.

When she opened her eyes, she had returned to her youth.

The turmoil had yet to begin, and the grudges had yet to form. Her family had not yet made her a pawn, and she had not yet met the solitary, possessive young lord.
