White Night Crossing: This Cafe Only Helps Evil Spirits Move On

By day, she sells coffee. By night, she delivers spirits to the afterlife.

Su Yanci is the last spirit ferryman in the human world. His three great loves in life are making money, haggling, and watching Ye Liu slack off.

Ye Liu is the “former princess” of the demon realm, who ran away from home a thousand years ago. Her three great loves in life are sleeping, giving people a hard time, and watching Su Yanci count his money.

Together, they run the trendy cafe White Night Ferry. By day, they serve young people looking to snap a photo. After dark, they open a barrier between yin and yang.

Wronged souls, vengeful spirits, runaway little demons, and evils nurtured by human hearts... all kinds of “customers” come to them by reputation.

Su Yanci’s rules: clear prices, copper coins up front, no favors, and benevolent spirits get free passage.

Ye Liu’s rules: use evil to cross evil, illusion to repay illusion. Hypocrites will suffer the consequences of their own actions, with no mercy.

One is sharp-tongued but soft-hearted; the other is aloof and lonely. One gently guides spirits onward while holding firm to his principles; the other conjures illusions and delivers ruthless judgment.

When the everyday bustle of the streets collides with the strange workings of the human heart, and a money-minded spirit ferryman meets a slacker demon princess...

“Our shop’s policy: no charge for the living, no credit for the dead.

As for the truths hidden in people’s obsessions? Those cost extra.”
