The Celestial Master and the Cowardly Jiangshi: I’m Really Not a Big Shot

A half-baked celestial master whose talismans look more like ghostly scrawls takes in a thousand-year-old cowardly jiangshi who’s afraid of the dark, ghosts, and bugs. The two keep trying to swindle each other, but their schemes somehow work out, and they settle into a chaotic daily life of “vanquishing demons” in a run-down Taoist temple. What they don’t know is that a thousand years ago, they fought side by side as partners.

Two underdogs from the start, happy accidents, misunderstandings that never get resolved, and laughter through tears. The cozy, lively atmosphere of My Own Swordsman meets the supernatural adventures of Candle in the Tomb, with the contrasting charms of two female leads.
