Adapted from Jiu Ye Hui's novel of the same name, "Once and Forever," the series tells the story of Qin Chuan, a loyal and determined "hutong boy," and Xie Qiao, a lively and cheerful Beijing girl. They grow up together in a courtyard house, both childhood friends who know each other inside out and an unmistakable pair of lovable rivals. As the tides of the times and turning points in life lead them to make different choices, they take a winding path before finally recognizing their feelings for each other.
