A Playboy in a Women's Romance Novel, I Was Forced to Marry the Empress

Lin Yuan finds himself inside an intensely angsty political novel aimed at female readers, as a minor playboy destined to be dismembered by five horses after just three chapters.

Knowing how dangerous the tropes in these novels can be, Lin Yuan immediately decides: He’ll avoid the plot at all costs. He’s going to lie flat and give up completely!

When he encounters the down-on-her-luck heroine, he quickly tosses her some money and walks the other way, afraid of getting entangled in her fate.

When the scheming villainess is framed at court, he hides in a corner and dozes off, silently ranting to himself about the real way to solve the problem.

But what he never expects is that every ruthless woman in this novel can hear his inner thoughts!

The future cold-hearted empress, who will hold power over all beneath heaven: “He gave me money and even planned an imperial reign for me in his mind! I’ll marry no one but him!”

The decisive female general from a military family: “I used Lin Yuan’s inner monologue to deploy my troops, and we crushed the enemy! He’s the true unparalleled god of war!”

The sickly, scheming daughter of the grand chancellor: “Every official at court is a fool. Only Lin Yuan understands me. I’ll be the woman behind him!”

The heroines and villainesses, who had originally plotted against one another, send the story completely off course. They gather outside the Duke Who Guards the Nation’s residence, competing for his affection and turning a tragic romance for female readers into a male-oriented tale of conquest!

Looking at the courtyard full of powerful women from these novels, Lin Yuan is close to tears. “I really just want to be a minor character. Stay away from me!”
