I Tossed Away a Branch, and My Senior Disciple Awakened as a Sword Emperor

He’s barely turned eight, yet he’s the most senior granduncle in the entire sect. Does that make any sense?

Chu Tianxiu is at his wit’s end. The sect is on the brink of bankruptcy, its white-haired leader complains about being broke every day, the disciples are all good-for-nothings who cause trouble, and his enemies are camped outside the gate demanding payment.

Luckily, he bound himself to the Ultimate Retirement System. As long as he keeps up the life of a “retired old man” drinking tea and walking his birds, he’ll grow stronger automatically every day until he’s invincible!

All he wants is some peace and quiet to sun himself, so he can only be as perfunctory as possible.

His eldest disciple begs him for an unparalleled sword technique? He casually tosses him a twig for swatting flies. “Figure it out yourself!”

A demonic sect enchantress sneaks in to assassinate him? He uses the demonic sect’s sacred relic as a chamber pot. “Empty this for me.”

Who knew this bunch of weirdos would read so much into everything? The twig gives rise to a world-destroying sword technique, and the enchantress is so terrified that she abandons evil for good and eagerly empties the chamber pot!

When the whole sect sweeps through the heavens, and gods and buddhas crowd outside his courtyard, kneeling to request an audience…

Chu Tianxiu holds his thermos and lets out a helpless sigh. “I’m only eight. I’m really not some peerless master!”
