Bound by a Blood Pact, Desired by Two Female Demons

My name is Chen Beiming. I’m a half-baked yin-yang practitioner from the old town. My main job is playing the suona; my side gig is laying restless spirits to rest. I thought I’d spend the rest of my life scraping by until I died, but then I took a job at a haunted house.

That day, I ran into an evil spirit, and it was so scared that its soul nearly scattered.

That night, the grave-robbing Taoist Luo Qinghan climbed over the wall and broke in. The next day, the tomb raider Qin Luo kicked the door in.

A blood oath between three parties, an inheritance spanning two thousand years. If we don’t break it, all three of our bloodlines will wither within three years, and we’ll die together.

Forced to team up, we venture across the land in search of divination tombs: from a yin dwelling beneath the Yangtze in Jiangzhou to the highest peak of the Yunling Mountains in southern Xinjiang; from blazing underground fissures in the Western Regions to an uninhabited island in the East China Sea.

We fight zongzi, crack mechanisms a thousand years old, dodge ambushes from the Guigua Society, and deal with two clingy female demons.
