[Original female protagonist] [Pairing: Severus Snape] [Primarily set in the Marauders’ era, possibly including the next generation] Gellert Grindelwald has a major role early on. There are a few GGAD moments, [GGAD ends in tragedy] [The Marauders are portrayed unfavorably]. Bullying is not forgiven. [James and Lily do not break up]. Heavily AU; enter at your own risk. “Dear Uncle, I hope I’m not disturbing you. I think I need a guardian.” Miss Grindelwald smiled at Mr. Grindelwald, even though she had crashed through the roof and landed on all fours, and even though... she was in the prison her uncle had built himself. “I think, Miss, that the first requirement for having a guardian is being able to get around the wizarding world on your own,” Mr. Grindelwald replied with a smile. His niece, who had been missing for 57 years, had suddenly crashed into his life with a contract in hand, looking all of fourteen. Without the confirmation of the blood magic that drew them together, he would have found it very hard to believe any of this was real. He had thought he would spend the rest of his life in the prison he had built. This was one of the few surprises Gellert Grindelwald, a great Seer, had failed to foresee. He had thought he was merely helping his poor sister’s child, who had disappeared into time, by taking her in. Especially since the girl could already look after herself, it shouldn’t be difficult. That was the second surprise. As for what came next, well, as a great Seer, Gellert had recognized the truth after the second surprise: Ceylan Grindelwald was the very embodiment of surprise! Just like her name, who else could make it rain on a bright, sunny day!
