I'm a Cultural Relics Restorer, and I Specialize in Disputes Involving Strange Beasts

Qin Lan inherits his grandfather's antique shop, putting his professional expertise to work in the family trade.

He thought his life would be spent restoring relics, drinking tea, and enjoying peaceful days.

Then a drop of blood fell onto a Warring States bronze vessel...

One bizarre thing after another began to happen: a rabbit with fleshy wings sprouted from an air-conditioner unit, a baby's cries came from an abandoned factory, and a tech company was capturing spirits from the Classic of Mountains and Seas to conduct new-energy experiments...

That's when his grandfather finally came clean: “Our ancestors were guardians of the Classic. They handled everything involving strange beasts. Now it's your turn.”

The criminal police treat him like a suspect, a grad student follows him around hoping to write a thesis, and the villain Hu Wei uses the city's surveillance network to hunt him down and turn him into a “spirit battery.”

Other people transmigrate and become overpowered heroes who sweep all before them. He gets to be the one and only officially appointed mediator of the Classic of Mountains and Seas from the start.

Liu Yu is on the verge of tears. “They're surrounding us, and your mana bar's empty again!”

Qin Lan: “What's the rush? Restoring relics is my side job. Restoring strange beasts is my real profession. Know what that means? Whenever a beast causes trouble, I fix it. After a while, they learn who to bring their grievances to.”
