Awakened as a Ferryman from the Start, the Nation Has Me Drive a Bus

Synopsis

On his way home in the early hours of the morning, Lin Chen accidentally enters a forbidden zone governed by rules. On the brink of death, he awakens the orthodox inheritance of a ferryman, granting him the ability to see the cracks in the city’s rules, guide ownerless anomalies across, and repair breaches in the order of the world.

He thinks it’s a special gift from Heaven, but the very next day, the state’s secret agency, the Order Bureau, tracks him down and grants him special authorization. He receives a top-secret assignment: join the bus company and work as an ordinary bus driver.

Using the city bus routes as his covert base, he quietly resolves crises and suppresses anomalies during everyday service. The public never panics, while the state provides full support behind the scenes.

By day, he’s a reliable, hardworking bus driver who catches the quiet attention of the warmhearted dispatcher Su Wanqing. By night, he’s the city’s night watchman, fighting side by side with his sharp and rational liaison, Shen Qingyi.

From keeping a single route safe, to stabilizing order across the entire city, to protecting the nation and guarding its borders, Lin Chen uses an ordinary bus to secure the order of the human world and become the steadfast presence quietly keeping everyone at ease!
