A Dad in the Zhenguan Era: Raising Sizi in the Great Tang

Xiao Ran, an agricultural science student, took out a million-yuan loan to lease a mountain. He had just begun planning how to raise chickens and pigs to pay it off when he transmigrated to the foot of Mount Li in the Tang dynasty, during the Zhenguan era, bringing his entire modern farm with him.

Protected by the System, the farm comes with an invincible barrier. Fruits and vegetables grow out of season, and the chickens and ducks are plump and healthy. He had planned to lie flat, but then a soft little head poked out from beyond the fence: Princess Jinyang, Li Mingda, who was just four years old and nicknamed Sizi, asked him for a drink in her sweet little voice.

One packet of biscuits was all it took to win over the little princess. One strawberry was enough to draw Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin, straight to the farm.

At first, Li Shimin wanted to buy things, but Xiao Ran found selling them too much trouble. Later, though, he couldn't get enough! He started bringing the Empress along every day to enjoy the food and drink, and soon invited all his friends over, turning the likes of Fang Xuanling and Du Ruhui into regulars at the farm.

Court intrigue? Keep it away from him! Xiao Ran's biggest worry is simply whether to make Sizi strawberry cake or roast her some tender lamb chops today.
