Great Sage Equal to Heaven: A Journey West Through Hell

Lu Zhao, the last surviving heir of an ancient demon clan, turns Sun Wukong against the heavens beneath Five-Finger Mountain from the start. Using fragments of the Chaos Bell, he forges a fake tightening fillet, and Wukong plays along, going undercover on the westward journey. Taking the alias "The Breakup Guy," Lu Zhao infiltrates the pilgrimage team. On the surface, he stirs up trouble every day and calls for the group to split up, so the Buddhist sect sees him as nothing but a useless burden. In truth, he secretly turns Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing against them and awakens Jin Chanzi. Through the Eighty-One Tribulations, Wukong is both the most devout disciple and the most dangerous avenger. When Buddha's light shines across the ceremony to confer Buddhahood, the fake fillet comes off and the Eastern Emperor Bell rings. This covert westward journey will bring down the Thunderclap Monastery, shatter the tightening fillet, and usher in a new age!
