The Ultimate Immortal Devourer

Gu Yuan was an ordinary sect servant. On the brink of death on a rainy night, he awakened an ancient forbidden art, the Devouring Dao Seal, which could absorb other people’s cultivation, seize their fortune, and devour the marks of the Heavenly Dao. He used it to prey on the strong, striking decisively and without mercy, only to discover that every sect elder was a puppet of the Heavenly Dao, and that ascension was nothing more than raising pigs for slaughter.

Since Heaven and Earth showed no mercy, he would become more demonic than the demons. Gu Yuan founded the Heaven-defying Sect, hunting down talented young men whose fiancées had broken off their engagements, the reborn, and System Hosts, then turning their golden fingers to his own use. After unifying the mortal realm, he stormed the Immortal Realm, only to find a wasteland above: the Ascension Pool was a purgatory, and the immortals were all walking corpses.

Disguised as an immortal soldier, he infiltrated the Immortal Court and found the Heaven-Slaying Sword left behind by an ancient True Immortal. He then led the myriad races in a campaign against Heaven. The true form of the Heavenly Dao turned out to be an ancient devouring beast. Gu Yuan became a black hole and devoured it even as it devoured him, then cleaved the heavens with a single sword strike. Yet even after the Heavenly Dao fell, a ruler still watched from the depths of chaos. The countless worlds were nothing more than an even larger pasture.

From servant to Heaven-slayer, from pawn to player. This is not a story about good triumphing over evil, but about someone who saw through the rules and chose to overturn the entire board.

Those who follow me prosper; those who oppose me perish. It’s time for a new Heavenly Dao.
