The 1970S: The State Banquet Grandma Leads Her Daughter-in-Law into the Military District

【Period setting + mother-in-law and daughter-in-law supporting each other + imperial banquet chef + face-slapping scumbag + serving the nation through food + feel-good revenge】 Lin Cuihua, the top female chef at the state banquet, opens her eyes and finds herself reborn in the 1970s as a downtrodden old woman. Her ungrateful son is a company commander in the military district, yet he’s fallen for a two-faced homewrecker and sent a letter demanding that his long-suffering wife die. Looking at her obedient, dutiful daughter-in-law, thin as a rail, and her three-year-old granddaughter crying from hunger, Lin Cuihua flies into a rage! She kicks out the troublesome relatives, grabs a giant iron ladle, and heads straight for the military district with her daughter-in-law and granddaughter! The scumbag wants a divorce? I’ll break your legs first, then divorce you on my daughter-in-law’s behalf! The homewrecker wants to steal her place? One slap sends her flying, and ruins her reputation! Kicked out of the military compound? Lin Cuihua gives a cold laugh, sets up her giant iron wok, and lets the aroma fill the whole district. Red-braised pork, Buddha Jumps Over the Wall, cabbage boiled in clear broth... The military leaders and hardened soldiers who had come to watch the joke are soon drooling, lining up outside the old woman’s door with lunchboxes every day! Her scumbag son regrets everything and kneels to beg for forgiveness. Lin Cuihua throws a basin of foot-washing water at him. “Get lost! Don’t distract my daughter-in-law from her Tsinghua entrance exams!”
