The God of Karma and Fortune

Shen Du is publicly disowned by the Shen family, while even the ancestral tablets in the family shrine seem to mock him as a "jinx." That night, he saves a child from drowning. A whisper from a clay river god reaches his ears: "The contract is sealed. You owe him a life, and I'll lend you my power."

The next day, ten billion yuan appears in Shen Du's account, but an invisible thread of karma has appeared around his wrist. When his cousin Shen Bofu steals his fiancée, Shen Du summons the river god's shadow and makes his cousin kneel at the wedding and call him "Dad." When the family elder Shen Bi forges the account books, Shen Du summons the ancestral spirits to confront him in the shrine and ruin the old man's reputation.

Su Wanlan brings him a marriage contract. Jiang Xiaoya begs him through tears not to leave. Li Yintang breathes in his ear, "I'll carry half your debt for you."

But every time he uses his power, the thread tightens. The final step in the battle for the family's inheritance is defeating every one of his blood relatives. What Shen Du doesn't know is that his greatest creditor is opening its eyes in the depths of the sea.

Save one life, incur one debt. If you can't repay it, the whole family will pay instead.
