The Tycoon's Wife Is a Medium

Su Wanwan, a brilliant young Taoist master, is forced to leave her mountain home and marry into a wealthy family to honor a marriage contract and her master’s dying wish.

On her wedding day, the groom is nowhere to be found. All he leaves behind is an agreement and a black card.

Glad to have some peace and quiet, Su Wanwan sets up a little stall under an overpass. “Fortune-telling, talismans, feng shui! Same price for everyone: fifty yuan!”

From then on, the high-society circles of Jiangcheng undergo a dramatic change.

A real estate tycoon on the verge of bankruptcy: “Master Su, save me! If you can bring my company back from the brink, I’ll call you Grandma!”

A top-tier star plagued by bad romances: “Master Su, please draw me a talisman to cut off these unwanted suitors! I’ll fund your movie!”

A wealthy wife who sees ghosts every day: “Master, I can’t live in this mansion anymore! It’s yours if you can make that thing stop following me!”

…

Later, Lu Jingyan, her agreement husband, is said to be aloof and refined, and to have never believed in ghosts or gods. One late night, he corners Su Wanwan against a wall, his eyes red as he asks, “Wanwan, you can calculate everything in the world. Can you tell me when I’ll finally make it into your heart?”

Su Wanwan counts on her fingers and answers with a perfectly serious expression, “Mr. Lu, your fate is missing me. It’s destiny, and destiny cannot be defied.”
