The Eerie Boss Who Never Works Overtime

The Cursed Convenience Store: A Tough Northeasterner Takes on the Dungeons

Apocalypse | Eerie | Horror and the Supernatural | From Mortal to Eerie Tycoon?

“Cheng Yaotie was a laid-off worker from Northeast China who spent ten years repairing machines at an electronics factory before getting fired after an on-the-job injury. He woke up to find himself the owner of the only convenience store in an Eerie Apocalypse.

At midnight, the freezer opens. Go in, and come back alive.

Otherwise, the convenience store goes bankrupt.

While everyone else relies on superpowers to tackle dungeons, he has a wrench and a knack for riddles.

An Eerie being sings a Northeastern comic duet? He jumps in: “You’ve got the lyrics wrong.”

An Eerie being performs stand-up? He plays the straight man: “Get lost.”

An Eerie being starts singing a nursery rhyme? He changes the lyrics: “Stop singing. You sound terrible.”

Decisive and ruthless, never a saint.

When he’s in a bad mood, he fires off one Northeastern saying after another.

This is the story of a laid-off worker who uses a wrench and wisecracks to run a convenience store, fix junk, and find his way home in an Eerie Apocalypse.

Cheng Yaotie was always being woken by one noise or another.

This time, it was the blare of a suona.

“Here comes the New Year in the first lunar month, the King of Hell has opened a convenience store~”

A note was stuck to the wall: At midnight, the freezer opens.

Go in, and come back alive. Otherwise, the convenience store goes bankrupt.

He ripped the note down. “Bankrupt? I didn’t go bankrupt when they owed me sixty thousand in wages.”

From then on, the Eerie Apocalypse had a new convenience store owner: an apron around his waist, a wrench in his hand, and an expired cigarette hanging from his lips.

Eerie beings feared him because he never played by the rules.

The Gray Men feared him because he could smash a man without blinking.

The Blank feared him because he always had the perfect comeback.

108 keys, 108 dungeons, 108 fights for survival.
