Siheyuan: The Silent Thunder of 1965

[Siheyuan + Period Sci-Fi + Multiple Secret Identities + Rebirth, Turning the Tables, and Face-Slapping]

Set between 1965 and 1970, the story unfolds on a miniature stage in a siheyuan beside the Hongxing Steel Rolling Factory in the capital, while reaching into the major historical developments of the country’s military industry. Military-industrial expert Su He is reborn and returns to the past. Amid the bustle of everyday life, she plays her pieces with wisdom and technology beyond her time, settling personal scores while safeguarding the nation’s future. In the end, she changes both her own fate and the course of her era. The story follows two main threads throughout: “saving the nation through technology” and “the struggle of human nature.” Thunder rumbles beneath the daily chores and meals.

She stepped out of her room and exchanged a smile with Zhou Cheng’an, who was waiting in the courtyard and preparing to leave for a new assignment. Their eyes were clear and resolute as they looked together toward a future full of hope.

The choices made by every fully realized character challenge us to consider human nature, morality, and the meaning of life. Each time a stock character appears, they add to the texture and warmth of this era, making it feel real.
