Demon Slayer: My Years as an Undercover Agent

I’m Mu Linyin, a fanfiction writer who pulled an all-nighter and died suddenly, only to transmigrate into Demon Slayer as a newly born demon.

No System, no golden finger, just a body that wants to run at the sight of sunlight and drools at the smell of human flesh. The first thing I did after waking up was find a living person in my mouth. Desperately repeating “I can’t ruin my reputation,” I used my backpack strap to tie that unlucky guy named Murata up like a dumpling.

And so began the survival-by-slacking journey of the least demon-like demon in history: driven to the brink by Zenitsu’s yelling, I knocked him out; the Demon Slayer Corps revered me as the “Lone Warlord”; I went easy on Kanao so she could see her dead sister; and Muzan treated me like a tool demon, leaving me to vent nonstop under the pressure of bloodline domination.

Then I met that boy.

Tanjiro held his sword to my neck, but he could smell my tears. “Are you... crying?”

That one sentence shattered every defense I’d built with my goofy act. It turned out being seen could hurt so much, and feel so warm.

When the battle at the Infinity Castle began, I finally made my choice: this time, I wouldn’t write a tragedy. I used my Blood Demon Art, Memory Corridor, to force a thousand years of Muzan’s crimes back into his mind, opening a path to victory for the Demon Slayer Corps.

The moment sunlight poured in, I pushed Tanjiro away and smiled as I welcomed the light, fading out of existence.

“Tell Murata for me: the demon who almost ate him can finally enjoy a proper feast of human flesh in their next life.”

I’m Mu Linyin. In my previous life, I was an evil stepmother of an author; in this life, I’m a demon facing the sun. To all the people I gave my life to protect, please live well for the rest of your lives.

After death, I awaken the Pure Love Warrior System. Surprise, huh?
