Shadows and Spies: An Undercover Agent in the War of Resistance

From 1939 to 1944, the War of Resistance Against Japan entered a stalemate. In Central China, the Japanese military established its intelligence hub, the “Plum Blossom Bureau,” and colluded with the Wang Jingwei puppet regime to hunt down underground intelligence agents and destroy resistance organizations. At the same time, they secretly advanced “Operation Cold Star,” building hidden weapons depots and training agents in an attempt to completely blockade the resistance bases in Central China and open a north-south supply route. The Intelligence Department of our Central China Bureau urgently selected elite operatives to infiltrate the core of the Plum Blossom Bureau, uncover the full scope of Operation Cold Star, foil the Japanese plot, and make contact with patriotic forces embedded in the Wang Jingwei puppet regime, all in support of the resistance effort.
