The Old Street Revival Canteen

After a medical malpractice case cost him his license, genius surgeon Su Yan hit rock bottom. Back in his hometown, he faced not only an old street in ruins and awaiting demolition, but also impoverished neighbors driven to desperation by the exorbitant proposals of a multinational medical giant. Then one night, as he cooked porridge for Granny Chen, who was waiting to die from cancer pain, the heirloom ladle in his hand suddenly grew hot. His Heart of the Benevolent Chef awakened, and illnesses could actually be turned into “healing energy” and infused into food. Thus, a humble little diner opened its doors, specializing in “treating” those modern medicine had given up on. From then on, a bowl of porridge could ease pain, and a plate of food could prolong life. But the giant monopolizing top-tier medical resources saw his “revival diner” as a heresy that had to be wiped out. Ladle in hand, Su Yan set out to protect the last vestiges of warmth in the human world. On this old street, he would use the flavors of his food to move the whole world.
