The Fate Stealer 1

Lu Yuan knelt in the sect's main hall, still clutching the shard of the dagger that had accidentally wounded his mother three years ago. The elders called him a jinx, crippled his cultivation, and cast him out of the sect. He offered no explanation. Because after that day, a black marking had appeared on his palm. Whenever he touched someone, he could steal their fortune. But each time he did, he lost a memory, and he was close to forgetting who he was altogether.

Then, in a dark alley, he found a girl with amnesia. She knew only one thing: “We have to find the Deep-Sea Memory Vault and destroy it.” The Deep-Sea Memory Vault was a monopoly built by the cultivation world's financial conglomerates and sects working together. They traded memories to rewrite people's personalities, turning rebels into obedient subjects.

For the first time, Lu Yuan smiled. He had given his word, and he would keep it even if it killed him. When assassins sent by the financial conglomerates cornered him at the mouth of the alley, he wiped the blood from his lips and slowly took off his ring. “If you want to fight, fine. First tell me: how many times can I steal your fortune?”
