In 1993, I Guided Teng Ge in Founding Penguin

Lin Bai was reborn at Shenzhen University in 1993. When he opened his eyes, he discovered that the roommate sleeping in the lower bunk was none other than Ma Huateng, the future founder of the Penguin Empire!

Looking at the young, bewildered Xiao Ma, who was still fretting over finding a job, Lin Bai gave a deeply scheming smile.

“Xiao Ma, your skills would be wasted working for someone else. I'll point you in the right direction: let's start a company together and build an instant messaging service!”

“I'll put up the money and set the overall direction. You just lead the guys in staying up all night writing code!”

And so, under Lin Bai's way-ahead-of-its-time ideas, manipulative pep talks, and grand promises, Xiao Ma led his team in grinding around the clock to build OICQ.

Years later, when the Penguin Empire burst onto the scene, Ma Huateng enjoyed boundless fame as its public-facing leader. But late at night, he would thank Lin Bai profusely: “Chairman Lin, without your guidance and funding, I wouldn't be where I am today!”

Meanwhile, Lin Bai lounged on a luxury yacht, watching the hundreds of billions in his account climb by the day, and sighed. “Man, making money is exhausting. I have to keep selling dreams to all these future billionaires working for me.”

This is the story of a reborn man who turned all the future internet moguls into his number-one employees.
