CEO Cheng's Unconventional Secretary

Shi Yue, a top finance graduate from a prestigious 985 university, discovers on her very first day at work that her boss really is handsome, and really is impossible to deal with.

One moment he has her analyze an industry, the next he has her fend off admirers. By day, President Cheng is decisive and efficient; by night, he is a workaholic who keeps her working until the early hours.

Shi Yue puts up with it, after all, the salary is irresistible.

Until one late night, she brings coffee into the office and catches Cheng Haoran talking to an AI model: “It isn’t perfect. It needs to iterate.”

Without thinking, she replies, “That’s true of AI, President Cheng. It’s true of people, too.”

Cheng Haoran looks up at her, and his gaze changes.

From that day on, her boss starts acting strangely:

He takes only her on business trips, asks only her to take notes in meetings, and even has her “vet” his blind dates.

Shi Yue finally can’t take it anymore. “President Cheng, did you hire me as your secretary or your girlfriend?”

Cheng Haoran answers without changing expression: “What’s the difference?”
