Memories Locked in the Evening Breeze

I’d been secretly dating my childhood friend’s uncle for a year.

I was fretting over how to come clean to him when he dragged me along to watch the commotion.

Fu Yu gripped my sleeve, squinted with a smug smile, and said, “Look! That’s the girlfriend my uncle’s been hiding.”

My heart clenched.

The next second, my childhood friend shoved me forward. “Uncle, I finally caught you this time!”

The air fell dead silent.

When Fu Wensheng saw me, his face went deathly pale.
