Synopsis

The original title was supposed to be Dream Childhood, but someone had already taken it, so I used my other candidate title instead. It doesn't really make a difference anyway. Our New World is about four people, and Dream Childhood means the same thing. I just prefer Dream Childhood. This is a peaceful, cartoonish, furry world with an anime-inspired feel. It's mostly peaceful, especially in the early part of the story. There are only fights later on, and even then, there aren't many. The early part is mostly about everyday life. The world has spring, summer, fall, and winter, along with various special holidays. Everyone is a furry, with all kinds of animal folk and many different species. There are cities and villages, and the world is vast. My friends and I arrive in this world together. It also has elemental powers: metal, wood, water, fire, earth, wind, lightning, ice, light, darkness, poison, grass, spirit, sound, and space. These elements form the world's underlying logic. There doesn't need to be a system of cultivation stages in the early story, and there might not need to be one later, either. My companions and I survive and adventure in this forest. There are divine beasts in this world, but they aren't especially powerful; they just look unusual and have special abilities. The world is peaceful, and there are very few bad people. Nobody knows how elemental powers are awakened. People just treat them as a practical aid in daily life, and hardly anyone uses them for fighting or killing. Dreams of childhood, a fantastical childhood: that's what Dream Childhood is.
